Some people may consider this a desperate attempt to save face, but I believe it.
Kenny's not as dead as they'd like us to believe. Selling these assets will finance their return to 0.0 in a big way.

The SFshootme character is still a member of RKK, so I doubt he's going anywhere.
No, this is Molle's attempt to refinance a return to 0.0. The poor story about a corp theft is an attempt to prevent Goons laughing at them for being broke and to stop Kenny's enemies preparing for the "surprise" attack.
